Learn more →who we areabout Equip Mozambique
Mozambique is a nation full of untapped potential and many challenges.
For over a decade, Equip Mozambique has been partnering with Mozambican leaders who see that potential and innovate solutions to those challenges.
We seek to bring Shalom wholeness to the broken systems that hold people back from thriving.
How We Workfrom the inside out
Lasting change comes from within the community, from the people who live there, know it, and love it.
That's why everything we do follows the same four steps:
Discover
Before anything else, we ask questions.
We seek to understand what is actually holding people back before we suggest a solution.
Partner
We believe God created us to need each other.
So we look for others who share the same passion and we find ways to work together effectively.
Innovate
Together, we design solutions that go to the root, not just the symptoms.
God said in Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing!” The Holy Spirit guides us to creative solutions.
Empower
We provide training, tools, connections, and funding access so that these Mozambican leaders can implement, own, and grow their own solutions.
Why Mozambiquegreat needs, great opportunities
Mozambique is one of the least-developed nations on earth:
- Over 75% of people live below the international poverty line of $2.15 USD per day.
- Most girls never finish primary school, and 48% marry before they turn 18.
- Millions of farmers cannot grow enough to even to just feed their families.
- Millions more don't know their legal rights, or can't access the Word of God in their own language.
But poverty is never just physical. It is emotional, spiritual, relational, and systemic.
That's why we believe that God's plan for people is not just survival, but a full and flourishing life for every person in every community.
The Bible calls this Shalom: wholeness, not just the absence of pain but the presence of wholeness and the Kingdom of the Prince of Peace.
